Thanks for the info, Glen. And good luck with your situation. As they are now up and running, I am hoping to persuade them first with a softly-softly approach, appealing to their community sense and commercial benefit. I'll leave the harder cards for the residents to deal.

Skippy sky indicates the weather is going to be risky. Its going to be rubbish till about 7PM where its then meant to clear and give us a good night afterwards. It says 8-9 PM to 3 AM will be clear.

I've had a written reply from Elizabeth Ward on the lighting situation. She has been in contact with their Chief Engineer who maintains the lighting over their four properties up in the Blue Mountains. The Hotel is not yet open, so the lighting is left on for the safety of the dining guests and staff. They are grateful for the feedback on the lighting and they will be looking into the lighting when they are fully open.

I've replied mentioning that it is the night-long lighting of the dome that is the concern. Safety of the guests and staff is paramount, so we only ask for the night-long lighting of the Dome to be reconsidered by them.

Gus, you mentioned another structure being illuminated all night long. I didn't know which it was, but this can be addressed next time.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow night...

Last light is after 8 anyway. No sign of bushfires either.

Good point. We can monitor the weather. If its good we could leave at 6 PM and still be there before sundown.

It's going to be great! How do I know? I can't be there

Certain family/social matters require my presence on Saturday night, so I have to pull out.

Enjoy folks!

Cheers
Steffen.
