Smile JUPITER last night May 5th (finally a lull in the Jetscream)

Hi All, setup again last night with the Jetstream screaming overhead once more, seeing 3-4/10, fortunately though as the night wore on it improved steadily. Still not what you'd call great seeing, maybe 6-7/10, when these were taken, but a massive improvement over the past few weeks.

The top 3 in the image below are different processings of the same avi as described taken with the 2.5x powermate. The lower shot is a separate avi with 4x powermate... again not bad, but looks like I'll be needing >8/10 to really make this sing.

All in all I'm pretty happy with these - now on to the separate R,G,B process routine to see if I can't squeak a little extra

Hello, Robert

Wow - those are excellent images given the conditions you describe. The smooth appearance and detail are quite remarkable given how small the stack size was for each image - well done and I'm really pleased that you got some half decent seeing at last.

Cheers

Dennis
