Thumbs up Perth CBD Lunar Eclipse

G'day all,

Here's some shots of tonight's Total Lunar Eclipse, taken from Kings Park in Perth, looking towards the Perth CBD. We had cloud initially but then the Moon made it's appearance

Lots and lots of people there! And not just fancy photographers, lots of families and groups of friends with picnic dinners. Great to see.

Regards,
Roger.

Great series of shots Roger. What a nice way to watch the eclipse. Really like the city skyline shot.

Kings Park is a great spot for cityscapes and especially great for this. Well done.

Nice shots Roger. Adelaide does not have a view like that of Kings Park. I thought someone would do that shoot like that from Perth.

Well I can tell you several hundred people did a good coverage of the skyline My wife and I joked that if someone blinked in one of the city buildings, we'd have it on record!

It was great to see such strong interest from the wider community. I really wonder at times like this whether the authorities (Kings Park) knew it was coming or if they were surprised by hundreds of people suddenly descending on the park mid-week

Nice work Roger - at risk of hijacking the thread, here's a link to the timelapse I shot 50m away from Roger.
