Ha Sun 28th September

The seeing was a tragedy...hence much post processing required.

Pixinsight to the rescue!

No biggie....PI's wavelet routines are better than Registax etc.

Good stuff. Apparently PI Drizzle integration works for solar and lunar as well. Are you using that already?

PS: had a bit of fun and uploaded a little stereo view. If you cross your eyes hard enough and focus on the middle ball, just past the major headache you should start seeing things.

Ta Marc..... PI drizzle would probably have no effect as I am already oversampling by a good margin. Think I need a bigger stereo-pair for that 3D effect to work for me.

Looks like a really good disk to me Peter with the highlights nicely controlled from exposure through to processing. I note a smoother, more liquid look in this image. I like this look. Is this from noise control or the change in wavelets?

Thanks Ted....

No noise-reduction filters, but I have taken to applying flats and darks to my imaging runs these days.

Also I've found PI's wavelets give a nice smooth result.
