Another object from the deep north: the Wizard Nebula

The Wizard Nebula, aka NGC 7380, is an open cluster and emission nebula in the northern constellation of Cepheus. This is another narrowband image from my shared scope at SRO in California.

The gear used was a Tak FSQ-106ED on a Paramount ME with a QSI683 camera. Subs were 11x1800s Ha, 20x1800s OIII, and 27x1800s SII.

Processed in PixInsight and drizzle upsampled from a native resolution of just over 2 arcsec/pixel to around 1 arcsec/pixel.

High res here: http://www.astrobin.com/123097/

Constructive criticism welcome...

Cheers,
Rick.

Another corker. Those stars are so tiny. Looks like a mini M42.

Your narrowband images with tiny stars are quite surreal.

Great shot Rick, well done

Thanks, Geoff. The NB stars are fairly small to start with and I do beat them up a bit I have some LRGB images to process and the stars there are much bigger, some with huge halos that will be a challenge to tame!

Great colours and the composition and level of detail is super. The full res image is a joy to pan around in. And yeah, PI Drizzle is a marvellous tool indeed

Thanks, Greg. It's a pleasure to work with data from a dark site with excellent seeing. I'm becoming spoilt

Ta, Steve! Several more in the pipeline. I just need the spare time to process them!
