A piece of flywire over the front of the telescope.
My idea. Not sure I've seen anyone use it before

You could centre it, frame it, and sell it as abstract art.

Ah excellent! I should have guessed that one...a couple of years back I was travelling with some new binoculars and on first light was seeing a really weird blocky effect, similar to this only without the colours...after half an hour or so I deduced it was the bug net
