Question MAXIM DL 6.x

I noticed in the list of new features 'multistar and differential guiding'. Does this necessitate specific hardware or will it work with any guider/imaging cameras?

Look on Cloudy Nights - massive discussion thread on it.

Apparently fairly buggy still.

Thanks. Feedback's a bit all over the place. Can't make head or tail of it. Will wait and see.

There is also a weird bug when you use the Plane Wave autofocuser (which connects to Maxim). If you have Maxim6 connected to the mount via a serial port, then the autofocuser hangs up. Disconnect the computer from the mount, kill the autofocuser software and then restart it--then works fine. PlaneWave recommend using version 5 until this gets sorted. They have sent info to Diffraction Ltd.
