Al - I think that is the most likely explaination of the how (and it had occurred to me and I thought I mentioned it in the original post but failed to). Still curious as to the when and will have to talk to the locals and see if I can find out. Fires are not something that happen on the beach these days so I am curious about how old they are.

Bob - Oh, wait. Hold on! :-)

Round of Nostalgia

This month has some seriously good entries and it's a tough call.

One more round thing from me before it's all over tho: An old round thing in the mud of the river bed at low tide. This is beside the very old train way to Don Heads wharf that no longer exists. Part of the past.
