Not a fan of this colour palette but narrowband is anyones colour. Sometimes the gold palette looks good. The usual reds/blues/mustards is hard to beat ala Martin.

Greg.
Yes but that is using SII in his image Greg. This is bi colour.
Which formula did you use for Bicolour? I usually use Ha as red + (O111+Ha)/2 as green + O111 blue. If you have RGB stars that is handy as well. Martin uses the colour channel tool to switch 2 channels to get rid of the purple stars.
Gives a nice balance even without S11 (which often is weak and does not add much anyway).
Yep did that but got a lovely greeny yellow base image. I don't have enough OIII data though at present, nor do I have RGB stars, though this can be simulated as Martin does (had the same conversation with him about doing that).
Once I have some more data and the SII I will be finalising this data. I don't mind the colour and as you point out it is dealers choice. Just personal preference and certainly better than green base.
Amaizing, yeah I say that a lot - only because I dont really know what else to say, way over my head - Mighty striking image tho - them colours are real coool, and clarity is just way great - totally nice work Paul.
Make a good arty print for a modern rustic Freedom furniture store display
Detail is rather nice

Colour not to your liking? That's ok not everyone will like it. It is probably too monochromatic and not showing the colours it should. There should be RGB stars showing and the colours in the combined version look weird. Maybe I need to revisit.

Yeah I thought it had more impact than the orangey red I had at first, but I have had the one or two comments privately about it not being right given the bi colour. I will need to sort this more once I get a bit of clear sky here.

Yeah it does John, although I am not keen on that god awful green that CCDstack spits out when it puts it puts NB images together. Like you say though endless possibilities.
Lots of things to like here Paul...focus, guiding , noise suppression, highlights & shadow....but...sorry..the colours are somewhat monochrome and a little drab.
Wouldn't make an A-list in my book just yet. Stick with it

I didn't say that...the palette is just a little different that's all and hanging on the wall in freedom furniture would be an honour for any astroimage
Geez, thats looking might fine now Paul, exceptional.
If you feel inclined, I could send you hi res OIII, if you dont feel like capturing it yourself. Youd have to crop a bit though.
Hmmm let me see how things go for the next month. I will let you know. Thanks for the offer. Much appreciated.

Is this the first image or the one above your post. I get the first post, certainly a little drab.
Trying to collect SII data tonight but cloud is looming again. Lots to collect yet.
