Acronyms - do we have a glossary?

Hi all

Just a thought - is there a glossary of acronyms used - it would be great for newies (and for me) . I find that I read a lot of the equipment discussions and see alot of abbreviations. I dont want to interrupt and break the flow of a thread by asking pretty basic questions.

If we have one already can you point me in the right direction.

Cheers Petra

There is actually a glossary, but it is buried (perhaps a bit unintuitively?) in the Community Info folder. Click on that over there on the left.

Thankyou Dave

You are a font of information

Interesting that they dont use EW for Equatorial Wedge. It would be good to see this link built into IIS

Cheers Petra

Petra, Angus and Robertson have the Oxford Dictionary of Astronomy that should help you with the majority of astronomical acronyms that you'll come across.

JohnG. Thankyou for that link. I have had this problem too, sifting through the threads trying to figure out what people are saying.
