Phobos and Deimos in the same image

Whacked the Canon EOS 600D on the 12"Skywatcher Goto Dobsonian at prime focus, set video crop mode and ISO6400 at 30fps, 1/30sec exposures. Took a minute long video, manually tracked, stacked the results in Registax and played with levels and sharpening in Photoshop to get this result. Unfortunately the secondary mirror vanes were not in the best place but they couldn't diminish the two moons.

Also attached is a superimposed Mars taken just after at 1/640th sec, ISO100, and a screenshot from Stellarium showing the orbits. Bptj were near max elongation.

Thanks for looking,

Tom

Hi Dennis, thanks. With your experience at these I'm pretty sure you'll find it easier than imaging the moons of Uranus.

Cheers,

Tom
