late afternoon SOL 10 March 2014 plus FD white light

managed to get home - no cloud blocking the sun, no kids to take to scouts and ranger guides, no questions from the wife - just managed to get into the doghouse and get some imaging done. still processing stuff but what i did see was a prom that had lifted off. some funky processing made some artefacts - no idea where they come from in the dark disk version. DMk51 127ed with Baader solar wedge for the WL shots and MDK51 lunt60 for the Ha shots

SOme late afternoon Full disk white light

thanks RB - i swear Solar imaging is the poor version of deepsky that has flesh eating bacteria. people look and just move on - or don't look at all. maybe i should put up a heading FREE BEER and see how many hits it gets. there are posts in the solar system area that are fantastic - Mars Jupiter and Saturn images. even a hey that looks cr@p would help

...everyone's getting bored or has to build a fan club

I have said before your Sol work is becoming some of the best on here Houghy...but in all truthfulness, it is hard to comment continuously on what look essentially like the same thing over and over done by many people ... and before any sensitive types hang me out to dry for saying that, I mean no disrespect, I can still appreciate the 100th image of the disc of Mars as well as the next person but it takes something eye-catching to spark a reply post that is more than "nice image"

Mike

Hi Dave,

I just recently got a SolarMax II and imaged the sun on 10th March.. I suspect you meant 10th March not February, since the details on the discs are similar on both your and my images.

Either way, It's great to see that we both captured the same details, proves that we both were looking at the same sun.. HA HA
