Anyone know if anything like this exists?

Doing some research to see if one can be made! Will come handy when imaging.

You can do basically the same with a small toothed gear and small timing belt..

I made one up for my PST, but its not "electronic" control
just a "manual" fwds/bwds with infinitely variable speed.

The motor can very simply be swung out of the way for rapid manual focus if reqd or swung in for ultra fine focus and no tools reqd.

Nice!

Yeah I need to find out what gears, chain and motor I can use. I already have an idea for a bracket.

Have a look at 'skywatcher Electric Focuser' from Bintel.

Yeah I have one of those attached to my telescope.

Want to look at making one or buying one second hand for cheap.
