NGC 3576 and Friends

Two panels in NII and OIII. Three or more hours for each.

NII to red and OIII to green and blue.

Large image FoV is 6.5 x 3.4 degrees. 10MB

Great work Bert. I had no idea the Ha areas were so extensive around NGC3576.

Greg I just processed to show what signal was there. NII is far stronger than OIII.

Here is panel one unstretched as a compressed 16 bit tiff. I have only removed the gradients individually with PixInsight from the original fits stacks. Yes even with 3nm NB filters I get gradients due to the speed and field of the system.

Nice widefield. A very interesting region in Carina chock-a-block with Ha/Nii.
