Orion Wide Field, third try.

This is my third attempt at an Orion wide field,

18x10 minute subs, unmodded Canon 1100D, ISO 400, with a Nikon 85mm lens at F4.

Hope you like it.

Cheers
Jo

Great job Jo. I haven't tried any serious wide angle stuff yet.

Yeah I have thought about modding it, I was actually thinking of modding a couple myself and selling them. What sort of price where you looking at for you mod? Did you get the filter replaced or is it full spectrum?
Can't wait to see some of your images, you'll have Ha popping out of everywhere

You should Ray, it's fun not having to worry about tracking, although I did need a pretty good PA for these 10 minute subs.

Cheers
Jo

Fantastic image Jo. So much has been captured here the detail and expanse is amazing. Keep up the good work. I only wish I could get some clear nights here as I am so looking forward to doing some more imaging and learning.
I just got a second hand 1000d that I willl be doing the filter removal mod as soon as I get some spare time. I will then be able to frame and focus properly. My 300D will not work with Backyard EOS.
