Horse head data repro with 8 hours of Lum

After a conversation with Martin Pugh I decided to undertake a reprocess of the data and include the Lum with a more thorough blending. I went back to the base calibrated sets and started from there.

Some deconvolution applied, and several sharpening runs to the Ha and Lum and I came up with an image I think looks sharper

I also worked on the colour more as I thought the previous version looked a little odd and a bit green.

I also think the curtain now looks more prominent than it did before.

I have included both the before and after shots to illustrate the point.

Thats top work Paul. I like the detail IN the horse and the cloud detail in whole dark area it, not oft seen. Excellent.

Very nice Paul. Better colour and tighter looking. The "cave" area to the left of the HH is my usual test for this area and its looking very nice. There are tinges of red nebula strands in there that make it a fascinating part of the HH scene. Also the Flame Nebula has come out particularly nice.

Its strange isn't it that hardly any other nebs are yellow like that. I wonder why its yellow?

Thanks guys, I really appreciate you taking the time to write something down for an image you have already seen once.

Fred, I noted with a version that Martin presented to me that the HH was really sharp and had detail I did not have. This and the curtain detail prompted me to go back and take another look. Always good to take a look over good data.

Greg, I don't know why it is yellow but suspect it might be the composition of the cloud that is causing the colour. Even the type of star hidden within it could be contributing to the colour. Maybe someone with an understand could chime in here and fill us in.

I don't think you can go any further with this image -
you extracted the last drop out of it.

Fair enough Paul,
I have to use Fitswork4 for every image I process
because it's the only way I can background flatten images
& it has so many other wonderful features.
