Seeing last night south of sydney

Can anyone give me an idea of how you might have classified the seeing last night around 20.00 to 21.00. I live 30 Km s of Sydney and have never had so much of a problem focussing before. Probably due to the warm day/night we had but I would be interested to hear what the conditions would be classified as. Ving, are you out there? I know you are pretty local to me.

i had a quick squiz just before house came on... man thats a great show

anyhow, most stars were twinkling so much it looked like they were in some sort of fit. I do=idnt stay out for long and didnt take my scope out. but i thought to myself that "although the transparency is pretty darn good I am glad i am not going out there tonight cause the seeing is really bad".
i dont know if it stayed like that tho...

The jet stream maps don't look at all favourable, so it wouldn't surprise me at all to find the seeing wasn't very good.

I was too tired and didn't bother taking the scope out, which is frustrating when the weather is clear.

I'll take a look at those jet stream maps Mike...but maybe later. I'm looking out of my office window and can see the moon in a clear sky with no clouds and practically 10/10 transparency. I don't want to shatter any hopes for a good night!

OK.Ok. Curiosity got the better of me and theres not much else to do while Registax optimises.

Those jetstream maps look informative Mike but I get the feeling you need to have been loking at them for a while to learn whats bad. i.e. is no jetstream the best, or even a possibility? What are the values which should offer favourable seeing?

New to this forum, but maybe some of you remember me from another forum, I suppose we shall see what you memories are like

I got my scope out (naughty me hasn't done so since last year ) after purchasing a new 3x GSO ED Barlow (Hooray! My first Barlow). Works very nicely with my televue 32mm I must say!! Anyway, back on topic, I was out on Wednesday evening, around 10-11.30pm (trying to get some viewing in just after moonset) and noticed that the seeing was pretty poor (I'm south of Sydney btw). I had a squizz at omega Centauri, and regardless of how many times I look at it I always think WOW! I couldn't get that wow buzz though Wednesday night, it was faint and dull, even though it was high in the sky

I'm hoping the viewing is better tonight! I was contemplating post midnight session.
