Long FL Achro

For something different I would like to try my hand at a little observing using an old fashion Achro - but something with a long focal length to appreciate the depth of focus issues that are sometimes debated in the field of optics and their design.

I am completely open to any suggestion/offers although I don't think I can afford any collectors restored Unitrons etc. Open to size but would prefer something between the 80-100ish diameter.

If you have any suggestions or something you don't use anymore please send me a PM

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

Just to elaborate a little more based on some kind suggestions that were supplied to me concerning some long FL Achros

"Vixen" have apparently made quite a few long FL Achros in their earlier years

"TAL" also made a few long FL Achros

"Antares" I am told have also made many long FL Achros

If you want a real beauty then take a look at Skylight Telescopes - although it a unlikely to find a used one, it might be worth contacting them.

A little more than what I would want to spend on an Achro - ornate indeed but I am really focused on looking through the telescope more than at it

Just a slight clarification - in our modern world of short fl APOs when I refer to something that is 'long' fl I am thinking of something perhaps around f11/f12 or possibly even more.

Once again - I am open to any suggestions

Perhaps I am pushing the wrong buttons but as an experiment I went to the check-out to try and buy and thus see what shipping might be - when it came to picking the country for international delivery Australia wasn't amongst the list!

Two emails and some time to the good people at Stellavue and still no response. I suspect it has already been sold and they simply haven't had an opportunity to update their website.

So - still looking for a long FL Achro if anyone has one they might considering parting with.
