Just for the hell of it, blending fun.

Hi,

After having trouble stitching my recent images of NGC 1360 & 1398, I blended them together, quite pleased with the result.

So I thought what the hell, I'll have some more blending practise.

Here's the result, really liking what can be done in Photo Shop!

Equipment used.
8” F/4 astrograph , baader type 3 coma corrector,. HEQ Pro 5 mount, orion mini guider.
Camera.
Unmodded Cannon 1100D.

Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker .Processed in Photoshop 7.

Cheers,

Justin

Interesting alternate way of presenting your work Justin.
You could call it the JTDF...

That collage turned out well.

I remember doing something similar a while back, except I'd do a collage for each type of object. One for galaxies, one for nebula, one for comets etc. They are fun to do.

Thanks Chris!

It's certainly interesting to see them close together, you could not dream up the variety of structures out there.

Yep, started to think about separate groupings when I was doing it.
Definitely going to do this to hang on the wall.

Great work, top idea on seeing all log your work at once.

One question though how did you get them all in the same room, I heard they fight like cats and dogs. (Or like Hollywood stars)

Yeah, it's good to display images like this. There's some great images on this forum that would look great in a collage.

Thanks Marco!

Reasonably even background, became rather mottled after so many blends.

Cheers,

Justin.
