Rosette in Ha and Color: To prove that I stayed up late too

Hi all,

Rosette in Color HaSO 2 hours each http://www.astrobin.com/61545/
Rosette with Ha 2 hours.: http://www.astrobin.com/60574/

I collected data a few days ago. Processed with PixInsight, don't laugh processing is still quite crappy.

I had lots of vignetting and trailed stars at edges with the old focal reducer set-up. With above images I used a flatterner instead, more rounded stars and minimal vignetting, very happy.

David
Thanks for looking

Overall a very pleasing image David, it reminds me of a photographic emulsion shot actually, nice contrasts and quite bold

Very cool Rosette David. Very 3D. Great colors too. You must have a clear eastern horizon to get it already. My house is still in the way.

Hi David,
Some very sharp data in there.
It would be well worth re-processing when you're not so rushed.

cheers
Allan

Like it already and look forward to seeing how it goes after your non-"crappy" processing.

Thank you Mike, it is reassuring having nice compliments from the experienced. I also processed several softer versions of the Rosette, my wife picked this one for posting.

Thanks Multiweb, Yes have fairly clear Eastern side, however most Southern view is behind neighbor trees.

Hi Allan, Thanks for your advice, the raw data are definitely well kept and will be reprocessed as part of learning.

Thanks Lazjen, It took me forever following instruction on how to process in Youtube, and I often forgot most of them immediately, indeed I can't even reproduce the same image
