Just watched your segment. You sounded like a seasoned presenter when discussing your dome / man cave.

Hmmm... I don't think I can handle that many on the observation deck....

They shot a fair bit of footage but I guess they showed enough as air time is very valuable. I'm very grateful to have had the privilege of being on their show.

Thanks mate. Around $12K I've tallied all my receipts not including the telescope gear itself. Saved a TON by doing the majority of the building myself and only getting professionals in where the skill required exceeds my qualifications. Lots of people donated little bits of money here and there, plus lots of material and accessories were also donated.

Baz.

Strange that the same fellow appeared in Manspace Magazine with me a couple of years ago with the first observatory.

Thanks for watching mate. Hopefully when they send me the footage, I might get a little extra raw footage for my website.

Great to see your ob on tv last night, although it was too short for my liking! Now maybe if you'd played a piano in your observatory...

Cheers,
Mario

Missed it last night Barry, but it's available on their website this morning. Something to be justifiably proud of - hope the educational aspects of your project are successful. Pity the producers "strive for mediocrity" in their editing, giving the public what they want - hence why the cars won out!

Just watched the episode this morning Baz, awesome stuff mate, your man cave Observatory looks even better than in the stills I've seen here on IIS brilliant!....I'm afraid that Ralphs garage full of limited edition cars trumps even your observatory though I wonder if he received any donations to complete his man cave
