lagoon attempt.

hi folks i am new to iis first post! this was last nights attempt at the lagoon nebula any thoughts and advice would be great.15-5mins through a ed100 on neq6pro with an unmodded 450d also using phd guiding and dss.thanks.

Hey Paul and

Really good image of the Lagoon for an unmodded camera you should be plenty happy with that, great stuff

I think you've gone a little hard on the processing. The back ground is very black. Less is more sometimes.

Paul. It's a bit hard to see in the tiny image here but it looks like there is too much red in the image here. Not sure what you're using to process the pic but you need to back the red off just a tad - at least at lower brightness levels. Otherwise looks good but it'd be nice to have a larger image to see.

hi cam thanks for the advice will post a larger image ,am just using paint.net at this stage untill i can get photoshop only been doing astrophotography for a couple of months so its been a steep learning curve cheers.
