SMC mosaic progress & North to South Milky way.

Hi,

These are not finished images, just progress updates.
These are just single frames stitched together using ICE from Microsoft.

Fantastic program!!

I only have 4 panels so far for the SMC, at least 8 more to go! hoped to have more but the two best nights were taken up with socialising.

I know I'm slack

Each panel for the SMC is 5 minute subs at ISO 1600 total 1 hour each.

The North South mosaic is something I've wanted to do for a long time.
This is 8 panels using the canon 1100D with 18mm lens at f/3.5 ISO 3200.

Cheers,

Justin.

Thanks Andrew!

Don't think I'll get much for the next week, weather looks dodgy.

Cheers,

Justin.

Looks good Justin (apart from the colour of the nebulae <g>). There is some red in NGC 346 of course but it's mostly blue.

Cheers

Now we're talk'n. The mosaic is starting to show promise. Stitching the panels very well so far. Looking forward updates as you progress. Well done Justin.

Thanks Jase!

Can't take any credit for stitching the panels. ICE does it quickly, balances out the background all with no fuss.
It's so easy to use you only need to drag the images into ICE everything is done automatically.

I know, I sound like a Microsoft salesman, but I just love this program!!
