pmx hype

So now I understand it. I have one of those with a dodgy dec cable so when I did a 100 point Maxpoint run the other day at the extreme it stopped working. Lucky I have been down that road before(passim), so out with the allen keys and hey presto, within half an hour was back with my scope. Now it gets super cool.
Having downloaded the image link stuff, tried an auto T point calibration tonight. Whoa!
PMX + QSI Man that baby sings!
Have to rectify my horizons but got a few corrections and way hey!
It was a joy to watch and to see. My Lord the whole thing was, can you say this about astronomy stuff?- downright sexy baby!
And sorted my PA out, so challenged the red baron tonight with ten min subs.
Who knows where I will go from here?
Maybe to oblivion and beyond!
Man I love it when things work....
PS to all you PMX owners on IIS, I thank you as I have been trawling the site for advice.
All I have to do now is sort out the dodgy focus!!
Boom Shanka!
Graham

Graham

As I felt your pain up to now, I also share your joy. Once you get the PMX running it hums. I love mine now especially the TPoiny Supermodel

Lets see some images now

Yep, love mine now it's working.

I don't think that the mount can be blamed for focus issues.

Cheers

Kink? Man I don't want to hear about kinks Ernie. I want this sucker to work first time I get it going. LOL. Yeah that is a piper dream I know. I showed my wife the new mount before going to the AAIC and her only remarks apart from that is a sexy colour, was that she wondered how much swearing this particular piece of equipment would elicit and if the software would work out of the box. Ah she knows too well!

To be honest I am almost too afraid to translate over to another system simply because I have the PME working really well and don't want to feel anymore pain.

Paul, she'll be right. They run like a dream.

It's been said before, we only hear the occasional negative experience on the SB forum, and rarely the success stories. I suspect that the latter are too busy enjoying their MX to comment

One observation - SB have been super responsive of late with replacement bits n pieces where needed, shipping across the globe with no expense spared. Take some comfort in that. It's a very well supported product.

When I ordered my MX, I ordered the metal shipping case as well, for what I thought were obvious reasons! They shipped it separately of course!

Do any of you guys guide with OAG and use PHD?
Could somebody please post PHD graph with OAG and PMX?

I'm deciding between Paramount MX and 10Micron GM1000HPS.

Thx

My MEII arrived with bent locking bolts and a snapped Versa plate locking clamp. Replacements arrived 4 days later. Very fast service. Have not been able to fully test it out yet but it looks gorgeous and start-up has been to spec.

Cant wait!
