The blank weighs 9.1kg and is slightly convex on its primary surface. It was once used as a surface with tiles attached for grinding f/6 mirrors. The tiles, which were affixed with pitch, have been removed. In the photo you can see remnants of pitch which will disappear when rough grinding.The back side has the exact center marked with a dot and there is a circle drawn around it in indelible ink.
