Back out in the out back

Went for a long long drive past Wagga Wagga to Walla Walla, about a 900km round trip from Sydney with rain clouds threatening to spoil the party. But I got lucky, they actually provided some interesting effects to an otherwise cloudless sky...

One of the bonuses of nightscaping is that weather changes can be forgiving.

Lovely images Carlos, nothing like the outback to get some really dark skies, nice work indeed.

I concur, they are all really good Carlos.
I especially like the tree wedged in between the boulders.

Looking good Carlos, love the first one and the last one - but with the last one I think it would be even better if the bottom of the tree wasn't lit with your torch - the colour doesn't feel right. I think just the plain silhouette would be better.

Encroaching on my territory again eh Carlos! Haha. Nah It's all good mate. Nice shots. Have to agree with Mike about the light on the tree. Certainly would be a better shot without that lighting.

Really nice set you've got there Carlos. Your nightscape are progressing in leaps and bounds. Top stuff.

Nice work Carlos.
Man you get around eh?
I like #5 the best, it has the best geometry of them all.
#4 is also good but my comment there is what is the subject of the image - the tree or the Milky Way? A bit too balanced and unclear in that there are 2 subjects too close in emphasis. The subject would seem to be in favour of the tree but I think you wanted the MW to be the subject. Same with the first shot, the rock is too dominant in the shot and its not interesting enough to pull it off.
Greg.

Thanks Mike! I must say that after looking at it again I agree with you, it is quite distracting. Fortunately it's something I can adjust. Cheers!!

Oops I know, but the landscapes and the skies are so beautiful down there!!! The Riverina is a big place though

Thanks for your feedback it is important to me, your nightscapes are stunning Greg and they set the highest benchmark. Thanks again

Eskerrik asko Marc! I'm so looking forward to my trip to Euskadi in January and capturing some of the coastline, mountains and small towns.

Thanks Matt! most of these shots were taken between rain clouds, got lucky for a few minutes from time to time but scarcely. but that's the beauty of nightscaping, conditions don't need to be perfectly clear.

Thank you very much Greg! Your feedback is great!! I really appreciate it. I can certainly see what you mean by the rock being too dominant and it's something I'll try to keep in mind for next time.

Regarding the tree I've been building a collection of trees with MW streaming for their branches and this photo was taken with a similar intent. Personally what I don't like about it is the bottom part that is too dark and the trees to the right which take away from the sky. I will certainly take your feedback onboard Greg

Thanks everyone for your comments it's very much appreciated!

No Albury/Wodonga Carlos, but Walla Walla is close enough to be called part of home.
