I purchased this about a month or two ago, have used it and then repaired my other QHY8 - with an interesting mod using a fan that has less vibration and moves more air for the same current, but that's another story.
I don't need this one anymore so it should go to someone else who would like to take large format CCD astrophotographs.
I've always used QHY8 cameras, they are in my opinion one of the best value cameras you can lay your hands on. Very low electronic noise, reasonable quantum efficiency, excellent resolution and the large pixel well size makes for great photos at long and short focal lengths.
Here's a review from Clive (Alchemy):

Comes with cables etc, no heater ring but if you want additional things you can get them from Theo - who is a Jedi Knight on all things QHY (

All my photos are taken with a QHY8, you can see them at

I'm asking $1200AUD which includes delivery in the protective case pictured. If there are any overseas interested purchasers I can do that too, but postage will be calculated depending upon where it goes.
Thanks for looking.
Simon.
