I had a another three similar shots, and one of some pelicans, that could have been chosen, and here they are. Although No 3 managed to get Mt Beerwah I wasn't happy how the kids were standing, and preferred the one I chose for the comp.

I had a few similar shots of Edinburgh with the noctilucent clouds, taken at the same time. The one other I probably should have used is below, as you get more of a feel for the streets in the old town, the crags of Arthur's Seat, and the storm clouds backlit by the noctilucent clouds and twilight. But you lose the wider view, with the full extent of the NLCs and also the Castle.

Earlier the same evening there was a good thunderstorm that cleared just at dusk, and the sunset rays catching the bottom of the mammatus produced a great smoky effect!
