Exclamation 6 months until IISAC2011

As much as I keep trying to ignore it, the fact that IISAC2011 is only just over 6 months away is playing on my mind

So here's a friendly reminder - put the date in your diaries, book your annual leave, store up your brownie points, etc.

IISAC2011 - 27th to 30th October 2011.

IISAC2011 will be the last IISAC event for 2 years because I won't be holding it in 2012 being so close to the date of the Total Solar Eclipse. So make sure you attend this one!

I'll start updating the IISAC2011 page in the next few weeks with more information as it comes to hand.

(PS: If anyone has any good ideas (and/or contacts) for guest speakers, please let me know)

Thanks Stacey - a good idea and I have a volunteer who has offered to give a talk on visual filters, so that should be scheduled.

Will see if I can find any volunteers to run any workshops during the day (including a kids workshop).

Cheers

were on a boat cruise in early october and am keen to bring the whole family to a iis astro camp !!!!!! my boys are 7 and 5 and what makes it hard is there early risers.which might cause a bit of conflict there, thus far the kids haven't been to a astro camp yet... hopefully there's going to be a few more kids....

Thanks for organising again Mike!
Looking forward to it as usual.!

Here's a wild thought ...
Instead of saying there will be NO IISAC in 2012, why not just relocate it to FNQ for December 2012 !!!

There must be a scout camp somewheres there about

Hi Mike

I notice in this thread that you said 2011 will be the last event for 2 years, no IISAC in 2013?

Things are looking good for a trip to the Hunter this year

Cheers Petra d.

I think he means it will be two years until the next one (2013) Petra.

...but I'm sure Mike will correct me if I'm wrong...
