Thanks Marc. There's a lot of small targets like this I would like to image, but they need a lot more focal length. Do you think an 8" RC would work with a DSLR? It's just that due to their slow F ratio I didn't consider them a good match for a noisy DSLR, unless maybe in winter. Minimum capture time would be 4 hours to equal the F4's 1 hour. Of course i would be guiding. No more 30 second subs.

Not sure with a DSLR. The longer FL needs a little more exposure. Unless your camera has a very low read noise and you can get away with a lot of short subs I'd start looking at a small cooled CCD with an 8"RC. Not saying it's impossible but challenging. Summer time forget it.
