GSO RC8 Help

I may have to adjust the collimation on my GSO RC8 and would just like to know if I have to release tension on the center screw on the secondary mirror before moving the adjusting Allen key bolts. In other words is the center fastener a locking device?
Regards
Peter

No it is not - do not adjust the centre screw, only the three collimation adjusters - and then you should only need a very small adjustment.

The center screw is for holding the secondary mirror assembly onto the spider, so you don't adjust it.

Thanks for that.
To adjust the main mirror is it necessary to loosen all silver locking bolts before adjusting the others?

Trevor
Thanks, but I can't see it answers my question of the physical actions necessary to adjust the main mirror or a GSO RC8.

Peter
