how much does your EOS t ring rattle

I seem to have a couple of dud EOS t rings
They click into place ok, but there is still a bit of rotational play and a bit rattly. At first I thought I have a due T ring so I got a different one, same thing. I even tried my old Nikon T ring (tight fitting, no play) mated to a Nikon/EOS adapter, same thing
Can anyone recommend a tight fitting EOS T ring, or are they all a bit rattly?
Thanks
Bo

Thanks Paula, I take it that is for your 1100D? I have a 40D, I know they are all Canon, but you never know.
Searching through the old threads, I came up with this one, http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=41348
It seems my problem is not isolated.
I removed the grab screw and the rotation play is not as bad as before, but still annoying. I will have a look that seller.
Thanks,
Bo

which part is rattly? the part that clicks into the camera, or the T-thread part?

I know mine rattles a bit if i have loosened the grub screws to adjust its angular position.

Suggest you look at the Baader planetarium version...very tight machining, no vignetting. Not cheap but doesn't rattle either

Basically it's where the bayonet of the camera body mates onto the notch of the T Ring. The notch is slightly larger than the bayonet, hence the rotational movement and rattle.

I just checked mine and it is tight fitting. (T2 adaptor for Canon 500D) I bought it from The Camera house in Adelaide City for $35.00. The brand marked on the packing is Digital Pro.
This info may be of some use

Bo,

Get yourself some teflon tape from Bunnings in the plumbing section. Works a treat and you adjust the layers to suit.
