I was up imaging until about 11pm, when my giude star lost brightness, i.e. it got cloudy. As this wasn't supposed to happen I packed up and didn't set the alarm for 4am as I was planning to do.
Anyway, at 3.57am I woke up, for no reason I can think of, but once I checked the time I decided to get up and have a look anyway. I was rewarded with the sight of the brid strike coming around the limb of the planet. Seeing was OK, so I have several avi's to process tonight. Imaged until abour 5.30, then got too cold and piked it, turned the electric blanket on and tried to get some more sleep.
Only thing was I was obviously a bit excited, so didn't get much sleep anyway. Today is dragging a bit, might have to go home early!
Also saw a nice meteor virtually at Zenith just after I got outside.
Did I mention how much I love having a permanent setup and an observatory?
