Something VERY WRONG with "Stunning Views of Earth at Night"

Just returned from oversea and catching up with Astro info and noticed there is something VERY WRONG with "Stunning Views of Earth at Night".

If you go to the global view and look at Australia, the Central and Western Centre have major light pollution where we have no cities. In fact this area is one of the least populated on the planet.

I thought it was just me. After I posted, the thread disappeared altogether for a minute or two.

It's a conspiracy! Someone is trying to hide the existence of those mysterious lights

Sorry to bring up old news. I saw it on APOD 07/12/2012 when in Singapore and flew over Australia on the way back to Sydney and didn't see anything like what is pictured. Its amazing how APOD a NASA website can republish old incorrect info 2 years later. Perhaps as Pauline Hanson said, "Please Explain"

That is because I deleted it when I spotted RG's...no point having two posts containing the same link

Ahh I thought you may have seen RG's, I wonder why his didn't show for me, yours was def the only one below the OP for me.

Obviously the same reason I edited mine when I saw yours.

Would have been funny if RG edited too and there was no link at all!
