Any iEQ45 owners here ?
Just curious... are there any members with iEQ45 mounts ? If so what revision A, B, C, D or E, or the recent AZ/EQ Pro version ? Issues ?
The Skywatcher AZ-EQ6 and EQ6-R just don't appeal - flimsy tripods and tiny worm wheels. A more substantial tripod alone is going to be north of $1k. And I am looking for an equatorial more robust but portable. Being able to take two scopes side-by-side in an altaz setup with GOTO has merit IMHO and the cost landed here is looking reasonably attractive IMHO.
Looked at the CEM60 but it seems over the top for what I want... and doesn't do altaz.
It's an old problem of the gap between mounts costing $2.5k to mounts nudging $8k... seems there is very little in between.
