Southern Cross and Coalsack

Last new moon deep in the Kalahari desert, Namibia, Africa.

I couldn’t imagine there’s so much detail and light looming from within the so called Coal Sack

Hope you enjoy this whole new perspective on this beautiful object alongside the Southern Cross.

Coalsack Loop

Harel,
This is great. You can also see a bit of the coalsack loop- very faint H alpha that runs around it. I tried to image this loop it last year from light polluted Sydney:
