Skywatcher authorised repair locations

Hi,
My EQ6 needs repair and I am looking for places to send it to - hopefully in Qld.
Can anyone point me to an authorised repairer?
Failing that an unauthorised one who does great work.

I left it tracking and it jammed against some hardware. Now one of the motors is now working erratically. I suspect a drive belt is slipping. But I have a history of not being able to put stuff back together.

If your mount is the older EQ6 or the newer NEQ6 not the EQ6-R ( 2017 - present ) then it’s purely gear / worm driven. Only the EQ6-R has belts between the motor and worm gear
There was a guy located in Perth on our forum back in 2017 named “Jimmy” who set up a little business repairing and tuning EQ5 , HEQ5 and EQ6 mounts. I don’t know if he is still doing the work , maybe send him a PM
Other than that most folk do there own Skywatcher EQ5,HEQ5, EQ6 and EQ6-R mount repairs and tuning if they are out of warranty.

It may have damaged some teeth on the drive gear, or a gear is slipping on its shaft. It is easy to have a look, just remove the screws from the side cover,
and remove the cover and visually check out the drive mechanisms. Remove the scope and counterweights and try slewing the mount in both directions at
a fairly high rate so any problem should be more easily detectable.You should be able to see/hear any mechanical problems. The problem could of course be electrical, but is less likely, so I would check the drive system first.

I did what you suggested and it is only a drive belt. IT looks like that is fixable with an allen key in situ too, so all is good.

Glad your problem looks to be minor; one of the benefits of having the
belt drive version, much harder to damage the drive train.
