Couple of Transits from Cootamundra.

Just 2 of the 300 plus shots I did today from Cootamundra. Around mid transit and near 3rd contact.

Takahashi Sky 90 with Reducer/Flattener, Thousand Oaks Type 2+ filter and Canon 7D, ISO 160, 3200/sec shutter speed.

Cheers

Great stuff John!

How did your weather go there in Cootamundra and did you get any IceInSpace visitors
after your generous open house invitation?

Hi Gary

Had Mark, Multiweb down here, perfect most of the day, a little afternoon cloud but that is normal, cleared nicely for the Egress, perfect this morning, a nice brisk -3c and a good frost for those that took my advice and went to the airport.

Cheers Gary, see you at BSG?

Nice shots John

I got clouded out at Bookham about 40 or 50 seconds before 4 contact, but otherwise got about an hours worth of observing, so in the end was probably a sensible choice not to drive all the way to Cootamundra...

Look forward to the full series of images from you when you get around to processing and posting them

Fantastic John.

Again my apologies for not catching up with you and Mark. We had a great day at the airport and even managed to do a head count of departures and arrivals. Departures 1 vs arrivals 0, buuuussssy LOL

Good photographs. I like them both but prefer the one with Venus centered so u can see the ring of atmosphere.

So good to see images from you again, John.

I didn't image it; the weather in Canberra was sketchy (I intended to create a timelapse from Frank's place with an exposure every 10 seconds) and didn't bother travelling. Just shared the views with the boys at work through the eclipse glasses I bought them.

Oh well, guess I'll have to wait another 100+ years to do it.

Thanks Guy's.

Not quite a Transit Party, David .

An extra blown up image of the Black Drop effect.

Cheers
