Dew heater for RC8 secondary

I live where it drops down to -12 overnight through winter. My old go to has always been an electric hair dryer plugged into an extension lead for my refractors (and it works on my long, golden locks, well, white/grey but long everywhere except the very thin patch in the middle). It doesn't however do the secondary on my carbon RC8 and last winter I realised my foggy images were a fogged secondary since the primary and eyepiece/camera were all clear.

I've seen mention of some silicon covered Nichrome wire element but also seen mention of fitting issues.
Has anyone fitted one of these dew heaters on an RC secondary and any recommendations?

My apologies if this has already been discussed here, I didn't find anything.

I have a 30cm long wraparound black dew guard that sits on the end of the OTA. It has an anti-dew band that aligns with the end of the OTA. It seems to do the trick.

Thanks Mark!
I have a big dew shield, possibly the same unit you have (Farpoint), maybe a band inside that which aligns at the edge, I'll give it a try.
