6” f/15

I dread to think what the OTA must weigh. Do you know?

Has 2off 5 kg counter weights at the very end of the shaft on the eq6. So I'm guessing around 15 kg

Update add

The telescope it a heavy beast and takes some time to setup. Also the eq6 is right on the limit of what it can carry. This type of telescope is not for everyone.

I setup the telescopes last Tuesday and looked at the Moon, Saturn and a handful of deep sky objects.

On the Moon we got up to 300 times magnification and still looked good. Also there was no colour around the edge of the Moon.

Saturn at 300 times was almost as good. Could see 4 of the smaller Moon around Saturn.

M6 and M7 showed the stars to be sharp across the whole field.

M8 and eta Carina could only just see the Nebula under Chelsea light polluted sky.

Packed up the telescope around midnight.

Telescope only $1,700
