This circuit will blow as soon as you plug it in...

240v morally rectified is still over 300v dc...and it's straight across the magic smoke...which can only take a puffteenth on the best of days....

I do believe the holy water acts as a filtration device and protects the beholder?
If the holy water is partially consumed first it becomes the protector of the tongue and filters the magic smoke.
