I have seen several youtube clips of people using a cheap webcam attached to their SE 6 /8
to get some very good images of Saturn and Jupiter.
Now I am a novice and my budget is on par with the Greek economy, so what " Cheap" webcam do you suggest that I buy so as to have a go at this myself a little later?
There are a couple of free software programmes available that I can use to help refine the images.
Obviously the results with a cheap webcam will not be stunning but to me they seem great for what was used, as that old German guard said on Hogans Heros, " I know Nothing!"
So your suggestions as to what camera to buy will be a help as there are so many on the market today.
Try a ToUcam. They don't make them anymore but it seems you can get one here http://www.telescopes-astronomy.com....am_philips.htm. The pic of Jupiter in my avatar was taken with a 4" APO refractor and a ToUcam.
