About tine too.

Finally got my little SW72mm 420FL out for some observing.
It's been so long l had to learn how to align the goto mount again.
Was amazed at how much l had forgotten when l looked up, l needed a star chart to work out what there was for the goto alignment.
Didn't have a plan so just picked out various things on the Synscan app.
Car Nebula, first time l have viewed it, quite nice despite only the faintest of nebulosity.
Southern Pleiades, very pretty.
47 Tuc, not enough magnification on the 72mm, but it was there.
Oph Nebula, another first, lacked magnification and nebulosity.
My first double stars, Coral Coroli and Grafias. Easy doubles to split but l can appreciate how splitting fainter ones would be gratifying.
Mars, need the AR127 out to appreciate it, which is exactly what l plan on doing next clear night.
My maximum magnification is 46 until l get a 1.25" barlow. My 2" is far to big for the Evostar 72ED.
We should have a few clear nights over the next 7 days.
Short but fun night, just needed to get out and do it and I'm glad l did.

Hi Rod. I'm starting to be in the same boat. With my shift work and the weather I have been out very with my new (18 months old Heq5 ) mount about 3 times. I going to have to learn the setup procedures again. Hope you get another run at it with your 127.
Cheers, Richard
