I'm a westy too - you'll find there are a few folks from around the northern/western suburbs of Melbourne, and they're a friendly bunch

The ASV have their monthly meeting at the Botanic Gardens, but they also have a dark sky site at Heathcote for members to use.

I also highly recommend the drive to Snake Valley for a camp or a club night. They're always great fun.

HI Matt,

I've been tossing up the idea of an astro group in the north western suburbs of Melbourne for a few years now. Certainly not taking anything away from Snake Valley or the ASV but a more local gathering in the North West might be worth looking at if there are enough interest.

In the meantime the guys and girls at SV seem to have a great time, definately worth checking out.
