I'm worried about taking it too far clockwise as I'm worried the mirror will fall off or something (is that a thing?).
When I add the focal reducer I need the light to be focused further back. Is that achieved by clockwise or anti-clockwise rotations?
It's also worth mentioning that I'm using this with a binoviewer, which requires an even further back light focal point.

You may need an extension for the binoviewer, assuming that by back you dont mean inward. Try it first without and it should easily come to focus.
