Remote Imaging and Telescope Hosting in NSW
Hello everyone, Martin Pugh here.
With permission of the moderators, I am delighted to announce that later this year, I will be offering remote imaging and telescope hosting opportunities at my property in NSW.
I have posted some initial info here:
http://martinpughastrophotography.id...oteImaging.htm along with a near real-time view of the skies via an All Sky Camera here.
http://martinpughastrophotography.id.au/ASC.htm
As the link will suggest, if you are interested, please PM me and I will add you to the list of interested parties.
cheers and all the best.
Martin

That simply means you need to put your RH305 or your Alluna 16" in my Obs!

Hey Martin, long time no see here!
Would you have a minimum equipment level threshold if we wanted to host our stuff at your place? Would my FSQ/STL/G-11 cut the mustard or would we need a Paramount as a bare minimum?

Hi H - yes, been overseas again in the States for 3 years got back in mid-Jan. I retire in two days so this is me doing what I love best as well as offering these services in what I feel and have experienced as a good imaging site.
I dont see your equipment as being a problem at all really and you will have the option to install yourself or have me do it for you.
Cheers

Terms and Conditions
Hello again.
Second update here:
http://martinpughastrophotography.id...ing.htm#TandCs
These are just draft Terms and Conditions. Final T&Cs will be published before the site becomes operational and will likely form part of a contract.
I would welcome comments and suggestions.
cheers

Evening folks.
Third update:
Added the view of a Flexidome Starlight Camera to this page:
http://martinpughastrophotography.id.au/ASC.htm
This refreshes every 3 minutes and will capture the observatory building progress and once complete, will be placed inside the observatory.
This camera has exceptional low light capabilities.
cheers

Added SQM Readings
Hi folks
I have added some SQM readings to the following page:
http://martinpughastrophotography.id.au/ASC.htm
Very humid tonight after all the rain, so might retake these on a 'normal' night.
For those of you with SQMs - how do yours rate just out of interest?
cheers

Sweeeet! RHA and 16200 sensor is working out great for me. Occassionally I prefer the 16803 with the RHA for the wider objects but for most the 16200 seems to be better.

Hi folks
it has been a few weeks but I can happily say that the design and engineering specs have now been completed and the plans have gone off to council for the Development Application/Construction Certificate stage.
Watch this space!
cheers

Hello everyone.
What can I say. I have been planning this business venture for some years now and today the footings were dug for a 10m x 5m observatory!
Construction is expected to complete by end Jan and the other good news is that the NBN gets installed next week also. Hoping that lives up to its name given all the bad press.
So once, again, I am offering telescope hosting, data subscription and, as a tertiary option, telescope rental.
PM me for further details and pricing, and also check out:
https://www.martinpughastrophotograp...escope-hosting
Finally, I have absolutely no doubt that 'new scope cloud cover' will move in at some point.
all the best and clear skies

Any chance of adding spectroscopic capabilities?

Thanks Rick.
Ken - I do not currently own such equipment so not at this juncture, but obviously I could host a user-provided set up that is configured for spectrometry.
thanks for your enquiry.
