Ara Mosaic in Ha/Oiii

Here's my first pic from this new moon. 3 panels centered on NGC6188 in Ara.
FSQ106N/QHY9 on G11 with a zwo duoband filter Ha(12nm) Oiii(35nm).

Seeing on the left panel is not as good as the rest so will likely reshoot another time. But it still turned out alright overall.

Left panel is 30x600s
Middle panel shot mid April last new moon is 43x300s
and right panel is 30x600s

I have a few different sizes here:

1:1 [7453x4298 - 15.2MB]
50% [ 37527x2149 - 5.32MB]
HD [1920x1107 - 1.57MB]

Enjoy the views

Very Nice detail. The framing is spot on and the HD has loads of fine detail

Great work Marc. This is definitely an area worth spending some time doing a mosaic.

Nice and contrasty Marc. Now you just need a few more panels at the bottom to highlight ngc 6164.

Thanks Greg. Yeah I get some good details from home when the seeing isn't too shabby.

Thanks Geoff. Yes I plan to expand a few panels around it when weather allows and slowly build up. This duo band imaging is something I can do from home realistically and get decent results. So I'm shooting plenty of panels around DSOs I normally image to make big mono mosaics. I started mapping around the prawn in Scorpius. Plenty of Ha there. And also Carina. Later on I want to map Sagittarius and Scutum. Another very interesting part of the sky. Plenty to do.

pretty much in awe Marc with these mosaic style shots and the work required to pull them together...I feel stretched enough with a single frame. Anyway results speak for themselves.

Fantastic Marc! I packed away my G11 last night with the unresolved DEC issue and my inability to fix it since 2020. Maybe one day when the OPWB is made available again I'll get back to it.

This image gives me hope I need
