AP Software

Hello,
So i have the SPC ToUcam 900NC on its way.

Maybe you can answer this for me, at least i hope so :-)

Will the ToUcam software direct me to a web link for additional software for adjusting images on my laptop or will i need to look online and download something myself, and if so which one would you recommend?

Also do you think Registax is a good stacking programme for this webcam or would you suggest something else ?

Thank you.

Most planetary imagers are using Autostakkert! 2 which you an download here fhttp://www.autostakkert.com/ Registax is an alternative and some do the analysis and stacking in Autostakkert and then transfer the stacked image to Registax and do some final sharpening with its wavelets module.

+1 for AS!2 , it's a great program, quick and easy to use, a good place to get started

I use it in the field and find that if the image out of AS!2 looks good I can sometimes eek a little more detail out with the wavelets in Registax.

You can also stack in AS!2, then take the unsharpened image (NOT the sharpened one) and import it into an image processing tool for further work. I use StarTools for this, and it works great for planetary enhancements.
