Artlunga

Funny what you find when you're backing up the hard drive.
Artlunga, Northern Territory, about an hour's drive east of Alice Springs.

This image was taken by me 8 years ago. It's of the old Artlunga Police Station. The little building to the right is the Cell for the station. The station was set up when gold was found in the region in 1887. The site is mostly an open-air museum these days.

Old time Australia, lovely photo!
It looks isolated, I guess when everyone was looking for gold there were a lot of people around.

Very much isolated mate. The wife and I had the place to ourselves for about an hour, and it was a bit of a drive down a (reasonably decent) dirt road to get there.
