sticky EQ3 RA setting circle

Hi

I just got my first EQ mount. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but the RA setting circle does not always follow the movement of the mount when I rotate it by hand. It seems as if it is too loose or something. I even took out the setting screw to make sure it wasnt causing the problem. Has anybody else had this problem? And is there a way to fix it?

The Skywatcher EQ mounts have long been notorious for their glue-like grease. Fortunately they are fairly easy to pull apart, clean off the old grease and apply decent stuff (there has been threads on this before, check the Equipment forum, perhaps). You could have a look here: http://www.astronomyboy.com/cg5/ra.shtml and see if it helps.
